Description
The L-plan outbuilding at the southwest angle of the farmyard at Cefn Gwyddil Farm is a large range of farm buildings, either single-storey or lofted towards the yard, with a basement at the rear. The structure is built from whitewashed rubble stone and features slate roofs that are hipped at the southwest angle.
The western range includes a barn on the left, which has a high barn door with a timber lintel and double ledged doors, positioned between two vent loops. To the right of the barn is a lofted stable that has a central door and a small square window located under the eaves to the right. The end gable of this range features a loft door. In the angle where the western range meets the southern range, there is an upper door under the eaves that is accessed by stone steps.
The southern range serves as a lofted cartshed, with a door in the angle that is also reached from the same flight of stone steps. This range has one upper square window positioned above two elliptical arched cart entries, which are framed with stone voussoirs. The rear of the southern range includes two upper square windows under the eaves, one window below, and two doors at ground level. At the eastern end of this range, there is a series of eight single-storey open cartsheds supported by whitewashed stone piers and topped with a slate roof.
