Description

The footbridge at Hengoed Station is made of wrought and cast iron. It features a flight of steps on each platform that leads to a half landing, which then turns onto an arched bridge that spans the railway lines. The steps have balusters with ball finials at their bases, and the bridge has lattice girder rails with a handrail and plain balusters. The arched bridge is supported by bulbous bracing. The decking and treads are made of wood, and the half landing is supported by columns with pierced angle bracing.
