Description
The Old Fire Station is a small fire station built in 1910. It is constructed of red brick with terracotta dressings and features a slate roof with tiled cresting. The main elevation showcases a triangular pediment gable adorned with three ball finials on corniced pedestals. There is a central pilaster that is overlaid by two string courses, along with a raised date and title inscription that reads "1910 Fire Station" and a moulded eaves cornice. Below this, there is a wide segmental arched opening with a moulded key block and hoodmould, which contains renewed double doors. The building also has long and short quoins and a moulded plinth. On the right side elevation, there are two paired casement windows, which have been renewed and are topped with moulded pediments. The left side and rear elevations are blank.
