Description

The footbridge at Billingshurst Railway Station, built around 1876 for the London Brighton and South Coast Railway, is a notable railway station structure made of cast and wrought iron. It features a wrought iron lattice girder with a flat center and arched ends, supported by four cast iron columns on each platform. Access to the footbridge is provided by paired wrought iron stairs on either side, leading to the platform and the roadway. This complete and attractive footbridge has group value with the nearby signal box.
