Description

Great Daux Farmhouse is a timber-framed building dating to the 15th and 16th centuries, situated on Daux Road in Billingshurst. The north section of the farmhouse is original 15th-century construction, exhibiting close-studded timbering on the first floor. It has a roof covered in Horsham stone-slate slabs and casement windows with diamond-shaped panes. The south section is from the 16th century and has a ground floor that was partly rebuilt using Wealden sandstone and Billingshurst sandstone. This section has a tiled roof.
