The Rhondda Branch Junction Signal Box is a 2-storey building made of red brick, topped with a slate roof. At the southern end, 2 bays have been reduced to a single storey with a flat roof, while the original structure was 6 bays plus 1 bay long. A name plate on the building reads 'Pontypridd JCSB'. Inside, the signal box once housed 230 levers.
