Description
This listing describes a group of four attached houses known as Nos. 41-47 Pen-y-dre, built in the Rhiwbina Type 2 style. They are two storeys high and feature roughcast render with a band at the first-floor sill level. The houses have hipped slate roofs and brick stacks. The design is symmetrical, with an eight-window front, all of which contain original 16-pane sash windows.
In the center, there is an advanced two-window bay topped with a hipped roof, which includes a central round-arched passageway. On either side, there are two-window bays that have doorways set within square porches at the inner angles of the central block. At the ends of the group, there are advanced bays with hipped roofs, each featuring a single window on both floors. The ends also have a round-arched doorway and two windows on the upper floor.
