Description
Nos. 48 and 50 Pen-y-dre are a pair of semi-detached houses built in the Rhiwbina Type 1 style. They are two storeys high and feature roughcast render that is painted. There is a band at the first floor sill level, and the houses have a hipped slate roof with a central brick chimney and tall brick stacks at each end. The front of the pair has four windows. The central two bays on each floor have tripartite small-pane sash windows, each consisting of a central 12-pane sash flanked by narrow sashes. The outer bays contain 16-pane sash windows. On the ground floor, the outer bays have splayed bay windows, each with a small-pane sash window on each face. The entrances are located on the sides and have doorways under flat hoods, with a pair of windows towards the rear on the upper floor.
