Description

Nos. 53 and 55 Pen-y-dre are a pair of semi-detached houses built in the Rhiwbina Type 12 style. They are two storeys tall and feature roughcast render that has been replaced and painted. The houses have hipped slate roofs with a central brick chimney. The central bay is advanced and has a hipped roof, containing original 16-pane sash windows. In the outer bays, there are small square windows located at the eaves. Each house has a doorway beneath a flat hood, with the original door at No. 53 and a later door at No. 55.
