Description
Llanmaes House is a two-storey building with roughcast cladding, smooth render quoins, and window dressings. It features a hipped Welsh slate roof that has been rebuilt and includes two new red brick stacks. The house has symmetrical three-bay elevations, with the north-west elevation showcasing 6 over 6 pane sash windows with glazing bars and stuccoed architraves. The first floor windows have horns, while the ground floor has a window on each side of a modern porch. The south-west elevation also has three bays, with a taller sash window in the center of the first floor bay.
At the eastern end, there were former single-storey service wings, which have been further altered and extended since the listing, including the addition of pool rooms and a swimming pool.
The interior was not available for inspection during the resurvey. However, the 1977 listing description notes that the interior has been altered in the late 19th century and later. One ground floor room retains a semi-elliptical arch on each side of the fireplace, and most of the windows still have their panelled shutters.
