Description
Pontrhydyrun House is a two-storey building, likely dating from the 19th century, with a rendered and painted exterior, probably over brick, and a Welsh slate roof. The house has an L-shaped layout, featuring a balanced five-window front with a central entrance and a service wing located behind the dining room on the left.
On the ground floor, the entrance consists of a central six-panelled door with raised and fielded panels, flanked by large tripartite sash windows in the two main living rooms. These windows have six over nine panes, with two over three panes in the sidelights. Above, the upper floor contains five plain six over six sash windows. The building features deep eaves, ridge tiles, red brick end stacks, and a kitchen stack on the rear wing.
The interior was not inspected during the resurvey in December 1996.
