This is a small cast iron milepost located north of Five Locks. The oval section of the milepost displays the number '6 ¾', indicating the distance from the start of the canal in Newport. Below this, there is a small plaque on the post that reads 'M C Co.', referring to the Monmouthshire Canal Company.
