Description

Ty William Ambrose Farm, also known as Hanbury Farm, is a house constructed from painted rubble stone and topped with slate roofs. The building consists of two blocks that are one-and-a-half storeys high and aligned east to west. The western block features a steeply-pitched slate roof with end stacks, the larger of which is on the eastern side. There is a small gabled dormer on the left with a 20th-century two-pane casement window above a shallow stairway projection. On the ground floor, there are two small 20th-century windows with timber lintels, with the window on the right being larger. The western gable end is rendered and includes a corbelled chimney for the upper floor, with a small 20th-century window on each side. The lower eastern block has, from left to right, a chimney breast without a stack, a small window with a timber lintel, and a wall that steps out with a lintel above a blocked opening. The rear of the house features small windows and a small lean-to outshut. Although not accessible, it is reported to retain a stone stair and oak panelling.
