Description

Aderyn is a building that has been completely rendered and painted over local lias limestone rubble, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high and has an L-shaped plan, with the main section being part of the historic West Orchard Farmhouse, while the foot of the L features a shorter and lower single-storey wing that projects forward. On the main range, there is an 8 over 8 pane sash window on each floor. The projecting wing includes a Tudor arch stone doorway and a small segmental-headed window. There is a modern window in the gable end facing the street. Both the right-hand return wall and the main gable wall are blind. The roof of the main range has two stone ridge stacks, with a larger one on the left and a smaller one on the gable. The rear elevation has not been seen.

The interior was not available during the resurvey, but it is said to contain a kitchen fireplace with a bakeoven and a spiral stone stair.
