Description

This is a limestone ashlar tomb with wrought iron railings located in the churchyard of St Athan. The monument has a square plan and is designed in a classical style, set on a square stone base surrounded by spear head railings on buns. It features an austere Soanian Roman style with panelled sides and corner pilasters. The base supports a square funerary chest that also has panelled sides, topped with a slab featuring a low pediment on each side. The inscriptions on the monument are indecipherable.
