Description
The structure is a pier associated with a former waste tip tramroad, along with an adjoining boundary wall. The pier is tall and slightly tapering, made from coursed rubble sandstone with copper slag block quoins. It features putlog holes for the bridge deck supports on both the front and rear sides. The boundary wall runs approximately 60 meters in both directions and is also constructed of rubble stone and copper slag. To the north, the wall reaches the boundary of the Hafod and Morfa sites, at the corner of the Morfa laboratory building. Between this point and the pier, there is a wide arch made of yellow brick, which serves as the entrance to one of the former canal docks.
