Description
81 The Watton is a three-storey building constructed of stucco with decorative bands and a hipped slate roof. It features a single bay facing The Watton, which includes a 4-pane hornless sash window on both the first and second floors. The John Street elevation has three windows, with 4-pane sashes on the first and second floors, the second-floor windows being horned. A corner bay showcases a two-storey rectangular oriel with a gable and applied timber framing. The ground floor originally served as a shop or public house front on both elevations, marked by pilasters, a fascia, and a cornice. There is a blocked doorway on The Watton side and a blocked corner doorway, along with another doorway on John Street. The ground floor features modern glazing.
