Description

77 The Watton is part of a three-storey row of six houses, numbered 75 to 80 consecutively. Each house features a front with one window and a door, with the doorway to No. 80 located on the side elevation facing John Street. The fronts are pebbledashed, with some sections painted, and include bands at the second and first floor sill levels, as well as a plinth. The houses have slate hipped roofs and brick stacks at the ridge.

The windows are adorned with stuccoed architraves. The second-floor windows are two-light casements with margin lights, while the first-floor windows are French casements with margin lights and contemporary iron balconies. On the ground floor, there are 6-pane sash windows. The doorcases are plain wood, featuring wooden pilasters and bracketed cornices. Nos. 75, 76, 78, and 80 have overlights with rectilinear tracery, and all houses have four-panelled doors.
