Description
80 The Watton is part of a three-storey row of six houses, numbered 75 to 80 consecutively. Each house features a front with one window and a door, with the doorway to No. 80 located on the side elevation facing John Street. The fronts are pebbledashed, with some sections painted, and there are bands at the second and first floor sill levels, along with a plinth. The roof is slate and hipped, with brick stacks along the ridge.
The windows have stuccoed architraves. The second-floor windows are two-light casements with margin lights, while the first-floor windows are French casements with margin lights and contemporary iron balconies. On the ground floor, there are 6-pane sash windows. The doorcases are plain wood, featuring wooden pilasters and bracketed cornices. Nos. 75, 76, 78, and 80 have overlights with rectilinear tracery, and the doors are four-panelled.
