Description
75 The Watton is a row of six three-storey houses, numbered 75 to 80. Each house features a front with one window and a door, with the doorway to No. 80 located on the side elevation facing John Street. The fronts are pebbledashed, with some sections painted. There are bands at the sill levels of the second and first floors, and a plinth at the base. The houses have a slate hipped roof with brick stacks along the ridge.
The windows are adorned with stuccoed architraves. On the second floor, there are two-light casements with margin lights, while the first floor features French casements with margin lights and contemporary iron balconies. The ground floor has 6-pane sash windows. The doorways have plain wood doorcases with wooden pilasters and bracketed cornices. Overlights with rectilinear tracery are present above the doors of Nos. 75, 76, 78, and 80, which all have four-panelled doors.
