Description
The Gremlin Hotel is a two-storey building featuring a street front with five windows. The lower block to the left is listed separately as No. 49, the Watton. The main block has a gable adorned with applied timber framing above the central first-floor window. The building has a slate roof with flanking stacks and is constructed from stone with a roughcast finish. There is a band at the first-floor sill level and a cement-rendered plinth. On the first floor, there are five two-light casement windows with small panes in the upper parts, while the ground floor has four sash windows with horns, which also feature small panes in the upper sash. The central doorway is fitted with a pair of ledged doors that have glazed panels.
At the rear, there is a wing made of stone rubble with lower eaves, topped with a slate gabled and corrugated roof, and it includes modern windows. Inside, the ground floor has cased ceiling beams and possibly a stone fireplace at the southeast end.
