Description

Nos 45 and 46 The Watton are two-storey cottages, originally constructed of stone, though now the front is rendered with pebbledash. According to records, No. 45/46 contains a stone fireplace at the north-west end and a further fireplace at the south-east end, with a winding stone staircase situated beside it. A central oak partition, possibly built using a plank and muntin construction technique, is also present. The cottages have a slate roof with a higher ridge than the adjacent No. 44, and a stone chimney stack to the right, which has been rebuilt in brick. The upper floor has two small modern windows, while the ground floor features a modern casement window to the left, a modern door, and two square modern windows.
