Description

This is a one-and-a-half storey cottage with a two-window front facing The Watton. The building has roughcast stone walls and a slate roof. The front elevation features two gabled dormers with sash windows. Two twelve-pane sash windows are on the ground floor. The south-east (left-hand) elevation has an overhanging attic storey and a two-light attic window with a painted dripmould. A coved cornice sits above the ground floor, and the doorway features a chamfered architrave, a ledged door, and a fanlight.

In 1976, a stone fireplace with a dressed stone arch was still present on the ground floor against the north-west wall. The ceiling has stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. A winding oak stair exists within, and the original roof trusses are said to bear carpenter’s marks. Architraved frames are found on the first-floor doorways.
