Description
Brecon Presbyterian Church is a Gothic chapel built with a gable facing the street. It features a slate roof with alternating grey and purple bands. The exterior is made of snecked rock-faced grey stone with bathstone dressings, and the arch voussoirs are in alternating colours. The front of the building is asymmetrical, with a tower on the right that has a doorway at ground level and lancet windows above. There is a polygonal stair turret to the right of the tower, which rises to an octagonal spire topped with gablets and a weather vane. A large 4-light window in the Decorated style is also present, along with a Gothic doorway on the left, asymmetrical buttresses, and a pinnacle. The right side elevation has five lancet windows and additional buttresses. At the rear, there is a crosswing that serves as a school or hall, designed in the same style, featuring two Gothic windows and a doorway, separated by buttresses. A modern block is located at the eastern end.
