Description

44 The Watton is a pair of two-storey cottages constructed of stone and currently finished with pebbledash render. The cottages, numbered 45 and 46, are noted to have a stone fireplace at the northwest end and another fireplace at the southeast end, accompanied by a winding stone stair next to it. There is a central oak partition, which may be of plank and muntin construction.

Cottage 44 features two windows positioned at the eaves, while the ground floor has camber-headed openings, including a central doorway flanked by a window on each side. The roof is slate, and there is a large brick chimney on the left, which is shared with the adjoining house. The glazing and door have been modernized.
