Description
No. 38 Free Street is a house with a cement-rendered street front, featuring two storeys and an attic, and three windows. The modern casement windows are designed to imitate horned sash windows but lack glazing bars. The attic windows are adorned with gablets that have decorative bargeboards. On the first floor, the windows include guards and a narrow central window with margin lights. The ground floor has a tripartite window on the left side, a canted three-light bay window with a slate roof on the right side, and a central entrance featuring a pilastered wood doorcase with a cornice supported by consoles, a four-panelled door, and a plain rectangular fanlight. The property also includes contemporary forecourt railings and a gate.
