Description

This is a section of the town wall at Watton Mount, which includes the ruined northeast tower and a stretch of medieval wall that runs parallel to Free Street. The wall section is approximately 25 metres long and stands 4 to 5 metres high. At the southwest end, there is an added buttress tower that is likely from the early 19th century and built around the same time as Watton Mount. The area is very overgrown, making the masonry difficult to see during the inspection.
