Description

Nos 1 and 2 Lion Street are a pair of houses dating from the 19th century. They feature a rendered front with three storeys and long and short quoins at the ends. Each house has two windows, and they are topped with a slate roof that has projecting eaves. The windows are four-paned horned sash types set within moulded architraves. The doorways are located in the inner ground floor bays and are framed by wooden doorcases that include pilasters, bracketed cornices, and panelled reveals. There are steps leading up to the four-panelled doors, which have rectangular overlights above them.
