Description
1 The Bulwark is a shop with accommodation above, built in three storeys. The exterior is rendered with pebbledash that is scribed to resemble masonry, and it features a hipped slate roof. The elevation facing The Bulwark has three windows, flanked by giant pilasters and bands at the first and second floor levels. The windows are four-pane sash types set in reveals with moulded architraves, and there is a large shop front on the ground floor. The south-east return, which faces down The Watton, includes a shallow two-storey, three-light canted bay window on the first and second floors, along with a large projecting shop window on the ground floor. The elevation towards Lion Street is a long two-window façade, with the windows positioned towards the rear.
