Description

13 The Bulwark is a three-storey building featuring a pebbledashed exterior and a stone plinth. It has a slate roof with flanking stacks and overhanging eaves. The front facing The Bulwark has three windows, which are small pane hornless sash windows. The second floor has twelve-pane sashes arranged in a 4 over 8 configuration, while the first floor has 16-pane sashes. On the ground floor, there is a central bay that includes a moulded wooden doorcase with an open pediment, fluted pilasters, panelled reveals, a fanlight, and a six-panelled door, which is flanked by tripartite sash windows. The ground floor rooms feature round-headed niches, and there is a contemporary staircase with straight balusters and turned newels.
