Description
The barn at Pendre Farm is a late 18th-century structure built of rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. It features five bays and has a central cartway, although the original full-height doors have been replaced. Notably, there are unusually long ventilation slits on both sides and at the gables of each bay. A small door leads from the yard to the southeast end bay. At the rear, there is a 20th-century cattle shed, which is not of special interest.
Inside, the barn has tie beam trusses with thin raking struts supporting the principal rafters, and it includes two tiers of purlins.
