Description
Pendre Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, with the upper end rebuilt at right angles in the early 19th century. It features rubble stonework, partly colourwashed, and has slate roofs. The rebuilt front elevation is two storeys high and has three bays, with a central six-panelled door and a patterned fanlight set within a wooden panelled doorcase. On either side of the door are 16-pane sash windows, while the upper floor has 19th-century four-pane sash windows. A brick stack is located on the northeast gable, and the west gable is pebbledashed. At the rear, there is a wide outshut that abuts a rear wing.
The earlier rear wing, which is beyond the original axial stack, is two storeys tall and has two bays, featuring a corrugated roof and a lean-to on the gable end that covers the entrance to the kitchen. Additionally, there is a small five-hole pigeon loft set under the eaves.
