Description
75 Water Street is an end-terrace house that has been converted into a shop. It features painted roughcast walls and a slate roof with close eaves, along with stucco end stacks. The building is three stories tall and has a front with three windows, which are made of plate glass sashes, with smaller windows on the top floor. The entrance is through a central door, and there are two small cellar vents located at the plinth.
The doorway is chamfered and topped with a small projecting timber hood supported by carved brackets. The entrance includes a five-panelled door that has a horizontal centre panel and an overlight. The property also has cast iron rainwater goods.
The ground floor has been altered, but the interior features a staircase with a closed string, turned newels, stick balusters, and a ramped rail. Upstairs, there are some early 19th-century fireplaces and a panelled partition with large square panels. The attic roof trusses have had their collars removed. Additionally, there is a two-room cellar that includes slate shelving and a fireplace.
