Description
24 St Catherine Street is a terraced cottage that forms part of a mirrored pair with No 23 to the left. The cottage is one and a half storeys tall, finished in stucco with a raised plinth, and features an imitation slate roof topped with a large rendered square ridge stack on the left, which was originally made of stone.
On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century four-pane horned timber sash window in the centre, accompanied by a stone sill and a boarded 20th-century door to the right that has a narrow overlight above it. The centre attic dormer contains a small 20th-century four-pane horned timber sash window, with a slate roof and slate-hung sides, along with boarded timber gablets and a plain timber bargeboard. The eaves board is plain, and the guttering has been renewed.
To the right, there is a lower attached single-storey range of short length, likely added in the later 20th century, featuring a gable end with a 20th-century four-pane sash window and a plain bargeboard. The property has not been inspected and is believed to have been extensively modernised.
