Description
The forecourt walls, rails, gates, and gateposts of the English Congregational Church are constructed from squared rubble stone, featuring a chamfered ashlar top to the plinth and chamfered ashlar coping. The cast-iron railings have a double top-rail with cusping in squares between, along with alternate cross and larger foliate cross finials. The Gothic stone gate piers have plinths and chamfered square shafts that transition to octagonal shapes, topped with octagonal pyramid caps. The gates are designed similarly to the railings but are more ornate.
