Description

The structure is a red brick garden gateway located in front of the wall of Pontgarreg Cottage. It features a flat top and a crude rounded-pointed arched opening. The gateway has cement coping and is adorned with a wrought iron gate that has an elliptical-curved top rail and double mid-rail. The gate includes spiked uprights with intricate scrollwork between them, featuring scrolls in the lower section, diagonal crosses between the mid rails, and small scrolls above. The upper section consists of vertical bars that end in plain spike finials above the top bar.
