Description
The front garden walls, railings, and gates to Nantyfelin are designed in a decorative style. The dwarf wall is constructed from rubble stone and features a flat coping. It is topped with wrought iron railings that have a square section and include scrolls flanking spiked points. The railings also have a mid-rail with alternating dog-bars, which also feature scrolls. The standards are thicker and topped with urn finials.
At the center, there are paired gates that include dog bars in the lower section. The gates are adorned with elaborate S scrolls between the rails in the center section, and there is a bar above with scrolled spearheads that correspond to the dog bars. The top rails are ramped up towards the center and have scrolled points. The center meeting bars are decorated with paired scrolls on the sides. On either side of the garden, the rubble stone walls extend back to the house.
