Description
The gatepiers, gates, and railings located to the south of St David's Hospital are listed as a Grade II structure. The forecourt features damaged iron railings set on a low stone wall topped with grey limestone coping. The railings are adorned with Gothic finials, while the stanchions have fluted posts and more elaborate finials. There are two gateways, each flanked by Gothic pierced cast-iron gatepiers that are topped with large four-branch leaf finials. The gatepiers are marked with "T. Bright Old Foundry Carmarthen." The pairs of gates are similar in design to the railings and include dog-bars.
