Description
Two-storey former toll-house on an elongated octagonal plan. Plain render with octagonal hipped slate roof, formerly (1981 list) with octagonal rendered ridge stack, altered to plain rendered squared stack. Stucco ground floor with raised stone plinth and door to S front, raised band between storeys, and roughcast upper floor. C20 door. Late C20 casements to front 3 narrower faces, both storeys, longer to ground floor, 3-light over door and 2-light to each canted side. Small panes and Tudor heads to lights, and slate sills. Windowless E side wall to Jobs Well Road and narrow single light each floor in canted NE angle. Small timber brackets at angles under overhanging eaves. Single storey range to NE, projected forward to street. Painted rubble with slate gabled roof. Boarded timber door to left with stone step. To right is 3-light casement window with stone sill and matching glazing. Windowless W side wall with attached single storey short rendered range with C20 2-light window to extreme right, with stone sill. Left end wall with yellow brick small stack and small lean-to (possibly bread oven) in angle to adjoining building.
