Description
The entrance gateway to Porth-y-carn is a notable structure featuring two tall painted stone piers that have recessed panels and half-round and corniced caps set on deep plinths. The gateway includes double iron gates adorned with spear finials and anthemion finials on the main uprights, as well as a centre rail and braces that sweep down at the centre. On either side of the gateway, there are curved rock-faced stone walls with iron railings that create a bay, which ends in tall rock-faced piers with caps that connect to the front garden wall.
