Description
19 Goring Road is a house built around 1830-1840, constructed from stucco with a painted stone plinth, a narrow band, and a chamfered cornice. It features a stucco parapet, a slate roof, and a rebuilt brick end stack. The house has two storeys and a formal front with a three-window range of 16-pane sash windows, all with painted stone sills. The ground floor windows are adorned with Gothic ironwork, a popular design by LáNáCottingham from 1824. The entrance features a central five-panel door with an overlight set in panelled reveals, framed by a painted timber Greek Doric doorcase that includes fluted columns, a triglyph frieze, and a mutule cornice. The east end wall is roughcast. This house is part of the terrace that includes Nos 13-19 Goring Road, which is considered the best group of early 19th-century houses in Llanelli, alongside the nearby 2-4a Felinfoel Road.
