Description

Berryhill House is a house built around 1830, with later additions from the 19th century. It is constructed of stucco and features parapeted roofs with stucco stacks. The house has a double-depth plan and is designed in an early Victorian style, standing two storeys high with a central attic and a symmetrical four-window range.

The top cornices and blocking courses extend to the ends, forming an attic sill band. To the left of the centre, there is a round-headed entrance, while to the right are round-headed windows with sills, which include impost bands and archivolts with rusticated keys. Above the four-panel door is a fanlight, and the windows feature four-pane sashes. The upper windows also have sills and four-pane sashes, with similar four-pane sashes in the attic. The end bays are adorned with cornices over tripartite windows and a combination of two, four, and two-pane sashes.

Canted bay windows above have entablatures over horned sashes. The attic is decorated with end scrolls and lateral stacks that return. The right return of the house features a canted bay window and an entrance with moulded pilaster strips and a frieze, embellished with rosettes at the corners, leading to a six-fielded-panel door. The left return includes a large rectangular bay. At the rear, there is an attached stable range. The windows are fitted with shutters.
