Broadway House

Broadway House is a large, symmetrical town house that forms part of an informal terrace and is taller than the adjacent properties at Nos 11 and 13. The building has three storeys and three bays, topped with a slate, low-pitched gabled roof featuring painted stuccoed chimneys on both the left and right sides. It displays a dentilled small eaves cornice and a painted, lined stucco facade, which includes a painted stone plinth and long and short quoins at either end. The windows are renewed hornless sashes, with 9 panes on the second floor and 12 panes on both the first and ground floors. The central entrance features a recessed six-panel door with a radiating-bar fanlight, set within a timber surround that includes panelled pilasters adorned with roundels at mid-height and at the top, along with capitals, a frieze, and a cornice that is broken forward over the pilasters. At the rear, there is a large three-storey gable finished in roughcast, which has later 20th-century windows, along with a flat-roofed two-storey addition from the 20th century.
