Description
The lofted cowhouse at Cilrath Fach dates from the early to mid-19th century and is constructed of limewashed rubble masonry. It features a steeply pitched roof made of corrugated iron and has a symmetrical front. The building includes two rectangular loft openings located under the eaves and three doorways with slightly cambered brick voussoirs, which have fallen to the flanking doorways, each fitted with plank doors. Originally, there was a central transverse feeding passage. Additionally, there is a loft doorway on the right end gable, also with cambered brick voussoirs, and a stone staircase that has later render applied to it, along with a sidewall.
