Description

The cow house at Hirfron Farm is a lofted structure built from rubble stone and topped with a corrugated iron roof. It features six doorways, with the right-hand one blocked. Each doorway has a segmental stone head with voussoirs and drip moulds. At the left end, two split boarded doors remain intact. The loft includes four ventilation strips, two shuttered openings, and a diamond panel with a date inscription located to the left of center. Additional ranges have been added against the left gable end and the rear of the building. The right gable end has a segmental-headed loft opening and an inserted doorway below it.
