Description

Caerfagu is a 1½-storey house constructed from whitened rubble stone, topped with a corrugated asbestos-cement roof and featuring rebuilt stone end stacks. The openings are offset to the left. The entrance, which is within a recently added shallow wooden porch, has a boarded door with glazed panels set beneath a 19th-century brick segmental arch. On the right and left sides of the entrance are replacement windows situated under earlier wooden lintels. The house also has three raked dormers, each fitted with replacement windows.

On the right gable end, which displays plaster panels, there is a single-storey lean-to made of rubble stone with a replacement tile roof. This lean-to features a boarded door with glazed panels beneath an earlier wooden lintel.

At the rear, there are two replacement windows under wooden lintels and an inserted door to the left. Above these, there are additional replacement windows to the right of center, and further to the right is a re-used casement window laid side-on beneath the eaves. The lean-to includes a two-light metal-framed casement window.

The current layout of the house dates from the 19th century and includes a central stair hall. The room on the right side, which was formerly the hall, features a stop-chamfered cross beam and a large fireplace with chamfered stone jambs and a timber lintel. The room on the left side, previously the parlour, also has a stop-chamfered cross beam and a fireplace with a plain timber lintel.
