Description
The aqueduct located southeast of the Church of St Cynllo is an 8-span structure built to carry a steel conduit across a steep-sided brook. It is constructed from coursed rock-faced stone with freestone dressings and quoins. The segmental arches span 20 feet (6.1 meters) and feature prominent keystones. Tapering piers extend up to the coped parapet, designed as freestone panelled pilasters. A thick band runs beneath the parapet. Original iron railings and gates are present at both ends of the aqueduct. The conduit itself is buried beneath gravel within the trough of the aqueduct.
