Description
Hirfron Farm features a multi-purpose farm range that includes a central barn, a stable on the right facing the yard, and an added cart shed and granary on the left. The structure is built of rubble stone with a corrugated iron roof, except for the granary, which has a slate roof. The barn has two pairs of full-height boarded doors, with part of the left-hand door replaced by corrugated iron. The stable includes a doorway with a segmental arch and a split boarded door, along with a window to its left. The weatherboarded granary is accessed by stone steps leading to a boarded door beneath a gablet. At the back, the cart shed is open-fronted and located below the weatherboarded granary, featuring quoins that have been rebuilt in brick. The barn also has a boarded winnowing door under a segmental arch and ventilation strips to its right, while the stable has a rear window and a loft opening in its gable end.
