Description

Circa 1860. Group of harled and harl pointed rubble farm buildings. BARN/GRANARY: L-plan 2-storey barn/granary. W range with rounded S gable, irregular fenestration and wallhead stack to W elevation to right and forestairto door to upper door to left of E elevation. N range with arrowslit ventilation in E gable, adjoining W range to W with loft door by re-entrant angle.

CARTSHED AND GRANARY: at right angles to NE of barn/granary beyond roofless pair of gabled farm buildings. 3 segmental-arched cart openings to E, terminated to NE corner by squat, engaged round tower with conical roof and lead finial, and with round angle to half-hipped S gable with hayloft door. Ground floor window and paired windows to granary to N gable.

STABLE(?): at right angles with cartshed granary to N, single storey and with rounded hipped gablehead, wide door to N at centre, and to W gable with small ventilator above.

BOTHY: single storey gabled cottage with doors to S, small windows to N, stack to E gablehead and ridge.

CARRIAGE/IMPLEMENT SHED: to NW of barn/granary range, near-square in plan with gabled with tall round arch to N gable, rounded corner corbelled to square by eaves. Roofless range adjoining to E.

Grey slate roofs. Cast-iron rooflights to granary. Evidence of former small-pane sash and case windows.
