Description
East Limekiln at Ludchurch Quarry is a freestanding limekiln featuring opposed openings and ramps. It has large openings with corbelling that are segmentally arched at the front. The masonry is made of reddish coloured stone. Inside, the kiln has a diameter of about 3 meters and lacks a firebrick lining.
